How to Print Your Umrah Visa

Quick answer

Your Umrah visa is issued as a PDF. Download it from the email or portal your provider sent it to, open it in a PDF reader, and print it in colour on plain A4 paper at full size with no scaling. Carry at least two printed copies plus a copy saved offline on your phone — the airline checks it at boarding and Saudi immigration checks it on arrival.

An Umrah e-visa has no sticker in your passport. The printout is what you present, so it needs to be legible, complete and unaltered.

Getting the PDF

  • From your provider: the approved visa is emailed as a PDF attachment, and with Marhaba Haji it also appears in your dashboard under your application
  • Check your spam or promotions folder if it has not arrived
  • Save the file to your device so you can reach it without internet at the airport

Printing it correctly

  1. 01Open in a proper PDF readerOpen the file in a PDF reader rather than a browser preview, so nothing is re-rendered or cropped.
  2. 02Print in colour, A4, 100 percent scaleTurn off fit-to-page and shrink-to-fit. Any barcode or QR code on the document must print sharply.
  3. 03Check the printoutYour name, passport number, visa number, issue date, validity and duration of stay must all be readable. Reprint if anything is faint.
  4. 04Make spare copiesTwo printed copies in different bags, plus the PDF saved offline on your phone.

Before you print, verify the details

Compare the printed name, passport number and date of birth against your passport, character by character. A discrepancy found at home is an administrative fix. The same discrepancy found at the boarding gate is a cancelled trip.

What to carry alongside it

  • Your passport, valid six months or more
  • Printed Umrah visa
  • Hotel confirmations for Makkah and Madinah
  • Return flight itinerary
  • Medical insurance confirmation
  • Your Umrah permit from the Nusuk app, once booked

Frequently asked

Questions pilgrims ask about this

Short, direct answers to the questions we hear most often from Indian pilgrims.

Do I have to print my Umrah visa, or is a phone copy enough?

Carry a printed copy. Some airlines and checkpoints will accept a phone screen, but a printout removes any risk from a flat battery or a checkpoint that requires paper.

Can I print my Umrah visa in black and white?

Colour is strongly preferred so that seals and codes reproduce clearly. Print in colour wherever possible.

I lost my printed visa. What do I do?

Print the PDF again. The visa itself is an electronic record, so reprinting does not affect its validity.

How many copies should I carry?

Two printed copies kept separately, plus an offline copy on your phone.
