How to Check Your Umrah Visa Status Online
Quick answer
Check your Umrah visa on the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa enquiry service at visa.mofa.gov.sa. Choose enquiry by passport number, enter your passport number, nationality, visa type and the on-screen verification code, and the system returns the current status of the visa linked to that passport. Results normally appear only after the application has been filed and registered — usually within twenty-four hours of submission.
There are two different things people mean by checking an Umrah visa: confirming that an issued visa is genuine and readable in the Saudi system, and finding out where an in-progress application has reached. The MOFA enquiry service answers the first. Your service provider answers the second.
Checking on the official MOFA service
- 01Open the MOFA visa enquiry pageGo to visa.mofa.gov.sa and select the visa enquiry service. Use the official site directly rather than a search result link.
- 02Choose your enquiry typeSelect enquiry by passport number if you do not yet have a visa number, or enquiry by application or visa number if you do.
- 03Enter your detailsPassport number exactly as printed, nationality, and visa type. Enter the verification image code shown on screen.
- 04Read the resultThe system returns the visa record linked to that passport, including visa number, issue date, validity and duration of stay.
What each outcome means
- Record found with a visa number — your visa is issued and registered in the Saudi system
- No record found — the application has not yet been filed or registered, or a detail you entered does not match the passport
- Details differ from your paperwork — contact your provider immediately, before you travel
If your visa is not showing
First re-check the passport number, including letters, and the nationality selection. A single wrong character returns nothing.
If the details are correct and the application was filed more than twenty-four hours ago, ask your provider for the submission reference. Applications that are still in document review have not been registered with the ministry yet and will not appear.
Tracking an application with us
If you applied through Marhaba Haji, your dashboard shows every stage — documents received, audit complete, submitted, approved — with timestamps, so you can see exactly where the application sits without guessing.
Frequently asked
Questions pilgrims ask about this
Short, direct answers to the questions we hear most often from Indian pilgrims.
How soon after applying can I check my Umrah visa online?
Normally within twenty-four hours of the application being filed with the ministry. Time spent in document review before filing does not appear in the enquiry system.
Can I check an Umrah visa with only my passport number?
Yes. The MOFA enquiry service supports enquiry by passport number, together with nationality and visa type.
Why does the MOFA site say no information found?
Most often a mistyped passport number or the wrong nationality selection. Otherwise the application has not been registered yet.
Is there an official app to check Umrah visa status?
The Nusuk platform holds your Umrah booking and permits. The MOFA enquiry service is the reference for the visa record itself.
